The HMGP Oak Street Pump Station Upgrade and Rehabilitation Project consists of an upgrade and rehabilitation of the existing Oak Street Pump Station located at the intersection of General Ogden Street and Oak Street in New Orleans. The work includes demolition of all existing pumps, valves, piping, electrical, controls, HVAC, grating system, supports, concrete and other components within the station. The project also includes installation of three new 1000 HP pumps, 72”, 54”, 48” piping, valves, HVAC, electrical gear, VFD’s, MCC’s, main switchgear, controls, structural modifications to the main floor, structural modifications to the interior of the pump station, removal and replacement of the overhead bridge crane, buried valve and flow meter replacements at the pump station and the main water plant, cleaning and inspection of existing piping along with other associated work. The Oak Street Pump Station was constructed nearly 100 years ago and is classified as a historical structure by the City of New Orleans.
