M.R. Pittman Group, LLC was contracted to upgrade the North Wastewater Treatment Plant in Baton Rouge, LA. These upgrades included complex mechanical and chemical systems built to chemically scrub the foul air produced from the Treatment Plant’s Primary Settling Tanks, Primary Effluent Splitter Box, Final Settling Tank, Gravity Belt Thickener System, and Sludge Dewatering System. The foul air was scrubbed by utilizing Bio-trickling Filter Towers, Chemical Scrubbers and Carbon Adsorption Media Filters. In addition to these upgrades, MRPG was also contracted to supply & install new pumps, mixers, tanks, and mechanical piping to support a new Sodium Hypochlorite System, which treats and disinfects the Final Effluent Water produced from the plant. M.R. Pittman was a subcontracted to perform the General Electrical Upgrades which included the installation of new Transformers, Industrial Generators, Integrated Power Assembly Building and Motor Control Centers to operate the plant along with multiple large-scale overhead electrical cable tray networks which routed throughout the entire plant.
